Program: University of Denver (M.A. - Communications Management & Marketing)
Project: Blizzard Entertainment - "Strategic Marketing Plan" & "Products and Pricing Analysis"
Role: Marketing Manager (academic)
Brief: The Strategic Marketing Plan is an integral part of any business as it communicates how an organization’s goods or services are expected to perform. For this particular project, I've chosen to generate my plan around Blizzard Entertainment, an American video game company based in Irvine, California. Blizzard boasts two decades of #1 ranked games, and multiple Game of the Year awards across their catalog of releases. But is that enough to retain their spot as one of the industry’s most prolific developers moving forward into the future of gaming? In this strategic marketing plan, I have conducted analysis in market, competitive, target market, product & pricing, distribution & promotion, and marketing performance. These analyses both inform and activate the potential 10% market share growth I believe accessible.
The Products and Pricing Analysis is used to describe Blizzard's products (good and/or service), and how such units serve as a solution for the primary consumer. I've analyzed the unique value their products offer, as well as evaluated the brand's pricing strategy and market positioning.
